Law No. 01/2021/QH15 | Hanoi, November 12, 2021 |
Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
The National Assembly promulgates a Law on amendments to certain articles and Appendix on the list of national statistical indicators of the Statistics Law No. 89/2015/QH13.
1. Clause 6 Article 17 shall be amended as follows:
“6. The Minister of Planning and Investment shall take charge and cooperate with ministries, departments, and local governments in performing the following tasks:
a) Establish and request the Government to issue the contents of statistical indicators belonging to national statistical indicators and process of compiling indicators of gross domestic product, gross product of provinces or central-affiliated cities.

c) Every 5 years, review the scope of gross domestic product and report the Government to request the National Assembly to consider re-evaluating the gross domestic product.”.
2. Point d clause 2 Article 48 shall be amended as follows:
“d) Heads of provincial-level statistics agencies shall make public announcement of statistical information belonging to provincial, district and commune-level statistical indicator systems; and reach agreement with central statistics agencies before announcing provincial statistical indicators being classifications of national statistical indicators.”.
3. Supersede the Appendix on the list of national statistical indicators of the Statistics Law No. 89/2015/QH13 with the list of national statistical indicators issued herewith.
1. This Law comes into force as of January 1, 2022.
2. The statistical investigation program, statistical reporting regulation for compiling statistical indicators prescribed in the Appendix on the list of national statistical indicators of the Statistics Law No. 89/2015/QH13 maintain effective until December 31, 2022.
This Law is passed by the 15th National Assembly of Socialist Republic of Vietnam during the 2nd session on November 12, 2021.
