Below are instructions of General Department of Customs on import of plant-based products that are both included in the list of herbal ingredients promulgated together with Circular No. 48/2018/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health and the list of plant-based products subject to food safety inspection promulgated together with Circular No. 15/2018/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development:
For tight control and prevention of frauds relevant to imported plant-based products included in the list of herbal ingredients promulgated together with Circular No. 48/2018/TT-BYT, customs declarants shall fully comply with management policies specified in of the Government's Decree No. 54/2017/NĐ-CP, which has been amended by Decree No. 155/2018/NĐ-CP dated 12/11/2018, regardless of the purposes of declaration.
For your information and compliance. Ultra vires issues that arise during the implementation of this document should be reported in writing to General Department of Customs (through Customs Management Supervision Department) for guidance./.
