DECISION

ON THE ISSUANCE OF BANKING CODE IN THE INTER-BANK ELECTRONIC PAYMENT SYSTEM

THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH10 dated 12 December, 1997;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 15/CP dated 02 March, 1993 of the Government providing for the assignment, authority and responsibility for the State management of the Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 64/2001/ND-CP dated 20 September, 2001 of the Government on the payment activities through payment service suppliers;
Pursuant to the Decision No. 44/2002/QD-TTg dated 21 March, 2002 of the Prime Minister on the use of electronic vouchers as accounting vouchers for the accounting and payment of funds by payment service suppliers;
Pursuant to the Decision No. 59/2000/QD-NHNN2 dated 22 February, 2000 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on the issuance of the Regulation on the banking code system, credit institutions and the State Treasury which have account in the State Bank to directly perform the transaction, payment;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 309/2002/QD-NHNN dated 9 April, 2002 of the State Bank of Vietnam on the issuance of the Regulation on inter-bank electronic payment;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Banking Information Technology Department.

DECIDES

Article 1. Permit to use the banking code which is set up in accordance with the Decision No. 59/2000/QD-NHNN2 dated 22 February, 2000 of the Governor of the State Bank in the inter-bank electronic payment system.

Article 2. Upon basis code which has been granted, to assign the Banking Information Technology to verify, reconcile the list of members and member units that register for the participation in the inter-bank electronic payment system, and issue supplemental codes of units that are still deficient.

Article 3. This Decision shall be effective from the date of signing.
