DECISION

THE REFINANCING RATE, REDISCOUNT RATE, OVERNIGHT RATE FOR INTER-BANK ELECTRONIC PAYMENT, AND INTEREST RATE FOR LOANS FOR COVERING THE CAPITAL SHORTFALL REGARDING CLEARING OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM FOR CREDIT INSTITUTIONS AND BRANCHES OF FOREIGN BANKS.

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 46/2010/QH12 dated June 16, 2010;

Pursuant to Decree No. 16/2017/ND-CP dated February 17, 2017 of the Government on functions, duties, entitlements and organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam;

At the request of the Director of the Monetary Policy Department of Vietnam.

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1. Regulations on interest rates of the State Bank of Vietnam are as follows:

2. Discount rate: 3,5%/year.

3. Overnight rate for inter-bank electronic payment and interest rate for loans for covering the capital shortfall regarding clearing of the State Bank of Vietnam for credit institutions and branches of foreign banks: 6,0%/year.

Article 2. This Decision comes into force as of September 23, 2022 and replaces Decision No. 1728/QD-NHNN September 30, 2020 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on the refinancing rate, rediscount rate, overnight rate for inter-bank electronic payment, and interest rate for loans for covering the capital shortfall regarding clearing of the state bank of Vietnam for banks.

Article 3. Chief of Office, Director of the Monetary Policy Department, Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam's affiliated units, credit institutions, and foreign bank branches shall implement this Decision./.
