DECISION

ON WAGE AND REVENUE REGIME IN VIETNAM ELECTRICITY CORPORATION

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Decree No. 26/CP of May 23, 1993 of the Government temporarily stipulating the new wage regime in enterprises;
Pursuant to Decree No. 28/CP of March 28, 1997 of the Government renovating the management of wages and revenues in the State-enterprises;
At the proposal of the Minister of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To allow Vietnam Electricity Corporation to apply the adjustment coefficient to increase the minimum wage according to provisions of Decree No. 28/CP of March 28, 1997 of the Government on renovating the management of wages and revenues in State enterprises from January 1, 1999 to the end of the year 2000 when the following conditions are fully met:

- The production and business operation yields profits;

- All the payments to the State budget are ensured as provided for by law;

- The average labor productivity calculated in kind in the year must be higher than the preceding year’s.

Article 2.- Workers and employees of Vietnam Electricity Corporation may enjoy some following regimes:

1. Rewards for safe electricity operation: with the levels equal to 15% and 20% of the salary-grade calculated in wage unit prices applicable to workers, employees directly engaged in the safe operation of the power grid and supply network.

Vietnam Electricity Corporation shall issue the reward regulation, based on the guidance of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Finance regarding the specific reward level for each voltage level.

2. Workers and employees directly involved in the management, operation and repair of 500 KV transmission lines and transformer stations shall enjoy the allowances regime specified in Decree No. 26/CP of May 23, 1993 of the Government temporarily stipulating the new wage regime in enterprises.

Article 3.- The Ministry of Labor, War Invalid and Social Affairs shall have to guide the implementation of this Decision.

Article 4.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.

Article 5.- The ministers, the heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the presidents of the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, the chairman of the Managing Board and the General Director of Vietnam Electricity Corporation shall have to implement this Decision.
