DECISION

PERTAINING TO REFINANCING INTEREST RATE, REDISCOUNTING INTEREST RATE, AND INTEREST RATE OF OVERNIGHT LENDING FOR INTERBANKING ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS AND LOANS COMPENSATING FOR SHORTAGE OF FUNDS USED FOR SBV'S SETTLEMENT TRANSACTIONS WITH CREDIT INSTITUTIONS AND FOREIGN BANK BRANCHES

SBV GOVERNOR

Pursuant to the Law on State Bank of Vietnam No. 46/2010/QH12 dated June 16, 2010;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 102/2022/ND-CP dated December 12, 2022, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam;

Upon the request of the Director of the Monetary Policy Department,

HEREIN DECIDES:

Article 1. Regulations on SBV’s interest rates, including:

2. Rediscounting interest rate: 3.5%/year.

3. Interest rate of overnight lending for interbanking electronic payments and loans compensating for shortage of funds used for SBV'S settlement transactions with credit institutions and foreign bank branches: 6.0%/year.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect as from March 15, 2023 and replace the Decision No. 1809/QD-NHNN dated October 24, 2022 of SBV Governor pertaining to refinancing interest rate, rediscounting interest rate, interest rate of overnight lending for interbanking electronic payments and loans compensating for shortage of funds used for SBV's settlement transactions with credit institutions and foreign bank branches.

Article 3. The Chief of the Office, the Director of Monetary Policy Department, Heads of the State Bank’s affiliates, credit institutions and foreign bank branches shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
