Decision 1022/1999/QD-BTM on the List of goods that are not subject to foreign-invested enterprises purchased in Vietnam for export promulgated by the Minister of Trade

DECISION

ISSUING THE LIST OF GOODS NOT TO BE BOUGHT FOR EXPORT BY FOREIGN-INVESTED ENTERPRISES IN VIETNAM

THE MINISTER OF TRADE

Pursuant to Decree No.10/1998/ND-CP of January 23, of the Government on a number of measures to encourage and guarantee foreign direct investment activities in Vietnam;
Pursuant to Decision No.53/1999/QD-TTg of March 26, 1999 of the Prime Minister on a number of measures to encourage foreign investment;
Pursuant to Decision No.254/1998/QD-TTg of December 30, 1998 of the Prime Minister on the management of goods import and export in 1999,

DECIDES

Article 1.- To issue the List of goods not to be bought for export by foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam. This list replaces List III, Appendix I of Decision No.0321/1998/QD-BTM of March 14, 1998 of the Trade Minister promulgating the detailed Regulation on the implementation of provisions of Decree No.12/CP of February 18, 1997 and Decree No.10/1998/ND-CP of January 23, 1998 of the Government concerning the export, import and/or sale of products in Vietnam and processing activities by foreign-invested enterprises and parties to business cooperation contracts.

Article 2.- Enterprises which are granted investment licenses or business licenses to manufacture goods items on this list shall export them in accordance with the investment licenses or business licenses.

Article 3.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.

1. Coffee bean

2. Forest animals for export

3. Forest plants for breeding

4. Gemstones, precious metals, natural pearls

5. Wood products (except for handicrafts and fine-art articles; items made of planted forest timber, imported timber or artificial boards which shall comply with the Prime Minister�s Decision No.136/1998/QD-TTg of July 31, 1998).

6. Minerals.
